Jim Ross and Chris Jericho appear to laying the groundwork to start their own wrestling promotion. They are working with agent Barry Bloom to put the pieces together.
Jim Ross is currently signed to a WWE deal, but that is set to expire shortly and he has declined their offer to renew. Jericho is a free agent. According to the report, Ross has been weighing interest of WWE talents whereas Jericho is doing the same on the NJPW side.
It is said that Cody Rhodes, Hangman Page and The Young Bucks are already on board. Additionally, Goldberg is a client of Bloom’s – making it likely that he would participate as well.
The project is said to be financed by Shahid Khan and his family. Khan is best known for being the owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars. It is also being reported that AXS TV is interested and talks are underway, although AXS has denied this.
If the rumors are true and all goes well, the promotion would open its doors in late 2019 or early 2020.
