Cain Velasquez is reportedly returning to WWE next month.
The former UFC Heavyweight Champion is currently scheduled to make his return at the 2020 Royal Rumble pay-per-view, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
There’s no official word yet on what Cain will be doing at the Rumble, but it’s likely that he works the 30-man Royal Rumble Match.
Cain signed a multi-year deal back in October and made his in-ring debut at Crown Jewel on October 31, a quick loss to WWE Champion Brock Lesnar. He was supposed to work a tag team match at the recent WWE live event in Mexico City, but the match was nixed. There has been talk of Cain needing knee surgery as he has dealt with an injury for some time now.
The 2020 Royal Rumble pay-per-view takes place on January 26 from Minute Maid Park in Houston, TX.
