This wasn’t just a WrestleMania 28 main event one year in the making. It was a so called “Once in a Lifetime” Match, an epic battle that redefined the legacies of two of WWE‘s most legendary Superstars.
To put it simply, winning this meant everything for John Cena and The Rock. All the heated confrontations, personal attacks, and physical aggression that forged one of the bitterest rivalries in history, finally came to a boil on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

Cena and The Rock put together a solid match, given their style. Was it a work-rate classic? No. Was it entertaining? You’d better believe it.
The Rock showed no signs of ring rust after being out of action for eight years, and Cena made the perfect foil for him.

Its John Cena vs. CM Punk with the winner getting a WWE Title shot against The Rock at WrestleMania 29. Finally John Cena won this match and made it official Rock vs Cena II.
With The Rock and Cena informed by their epic encounter last year in Miami, both competitors will assuredly come to MetLife Stadium with a more sharpened focus than ever before. Cena is out to avenge last year’s WrestleMania loss to The Great One. The Rock, on the other hand, appears intent on keeping the championship he waited more than a decade to reclaim.
Now, all that separates The Rock and John Cena is time. On April 7, under the brightest lights that sports-entertainment has to offer, who will leave will the top prize: The Rock or John Cena?
