WWE Hall Of Famer Nikolai Volkoff Has Passed Away

WWE Hall Of Famer Nikolai Volkoff (real name Josip Nikolai Peruzovi?) has sadly passed away.

Volkoff was 70-years-old. He had been hospitalized in Maryland several days before his passing. Volkoff was being treated for dehydration in addition to some other issues.

Volkoff made his professional wrestling debut back in 1967. He did work for the NWA in addition to having several WWE runs. After a run with AWA, Volkoff returned to WWE. He portrayed an evil Russian who teamed up with The Iron Sheik. The pair captured the Tag Team Titles in 1985.

In 2005 Volkoff was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame by Jim Ross. It is one of the most star-studded HOF classes of all time; as it also included Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper, “Cowboy” Bob Orton, Jimmy Hart, Paul Orndorff and The Iron Sheik.
